Neo-classic

Neo-classic refers to the second revival of classic design for interior decoration in the 18th century. This style was inspired by excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum that begun in 1738. Common motifs include dolphins, lyres, and urns.

Baroque

A style of architecture, art, music, and decoration which originated in Italy during the late 16th century and slowly spread throughout Europe culminating in Germany and South American in the 18th Century. Often contradictory, Baroque style is complex but is characterized by bold details, sweeping curves, sensuous drama, and heightened emotional states. Often the Baroque would be referred to as defying logic, departing from the establishment, and an exaggeration of proportions.

Candelabra

An ornate candle holder or lamp stand with a central stem and multiple branches for more than one candle or light. Candelabra can be made from a variety of materials, but are often made from a metal or ceramic.

Tole

Tole is the folk art of decorative painting on household items. Tole is a French word for tin, and it is usually decorated by means of japanning. Modern tole work typically uses long lasting acrylic paints.
